starRiechl Mayne, Training Directorstar
As Training Director, Riechl brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and history of success to Virtual Baseball. He has been involved in baseball for over forty years as a player, coach, general manager and trainer. He played both amateur and semi-pro ball including semi-pro ball in Detroit’s Federal League. Additionally, Mayne served as Athletic Director and Head Coach at St. Mary’s College and Madonna University for several seasons where they consistently ranked in the top 20 nationally in the NAIA. For three seasons he was also Head Coach for the 18u Michigan Red Sox Travel Baseball Program. Mayne, now in high demand as a personal baseball instructor, works with players of all ages and consults to the baseball program at the University of Michigan. His greatest impact on the game has been the specialized training he provides aspiring ball players and his ability to help them realize their potential.

starEric Coleman, Pitching Instructorstar

Eric is a veteran baseball coach and pitching instructor, with over twenty years of on-field experience. He has coached extensively throughout the Jr. College and College levels, as well as Collegiate-level summer leagues. Currently, Eric is a manager in the Prospect League with the Danville Dans.  Throughout his career, he has coached 10 Junior College All-Americans, and to-date, 130 players that went on to sign professional baseball contracts. Virtual Baseball is pleased to have Eric join its training staff. Eric has conenctions with over 100 college baseball programs.

starMike Tomlinson, Softball Instructorstar

Mike joins Virtual Baseball bringing over fifteen years of softball coaching and instruction at high school and collegiate levels. His accomplishments include numerous top ten divisional and national finishes, undefeated seasons, school records and the title of Mid Continent Conference Coach of the Year during his time as head softball coach for Oakland University. His work outside of school affiliations is comprised of professional training and management for softball and baseball including clinics for pitching, hitting, catching and fielding.

starJesse Schmidt, Softball Instructorstar

Jesse joins Virtual Baseball bringing over 10 years of softball coaching and instruction at the high school (Clarkston) and travel levels (Michigan Outlaws, ICE). He continues to hone his craft through workshops, clinics and his coaching mentor our very own Mike Tomlinson.  He has led his teams to the ASAUSA National Tournament, state quarterfinals and has won a handful of tournaments in the Midwest region. We are excited to have his intense energy level and deep rooted passion for the mental aspect of the game.
